Community Supported Ayurvedic Cleanse

AUTUMN 2026

This will be an Ayurvedic seasonal cleanse called Purva Karma consisting of a mono diet during 5 days (it can be also shortened to 3 days).

Our body is remarkably intelligent and incredibly hard working. Day in and day out, it processes all kinds of inputs; distinguishing what’s good for you from what’s not, doing its best to eliminate any harmful substances alongside routine metabolic waste.

Yet our bodies today are inundated with a never-ending barrage of stressors: environmental toxins, processed foods, unresolved emotions, and psychological stress, to name a few. Inevitably, in attempting to “digest” it all, we accumulate some degree of toxicity; which, over time, can build up in the system, deposit in the tissues, and compromise our health.

If you have been feeling bloated, nagged by never ending injuries, suffering from mental fog, feeling irritated or constantly tired, all these might be symptoms of chronic inflammation. Giving time and pause to your system, can bring mind and body a much needed opportunity to restore health.

Nature is wise and knows how to rest. The soil goes in hibernation in the darkness to restore itself and regenerate.

PREPARATION & SCHEDULE

There will be two general options to observe yourself. Nothing is strict or mandatory, just an exploration.

We’ll start the main cleanse on Saturday 1o with the new moon, and you can opt for 3 or 5 days length for the mono diet. Depending on the length you choose, the preparation and restoration phase will be adapted accordingly. In total, you’ll need to dedicate to this 10 days.

This needs a bit of shopping ahead so make your mind (and heart) up soon. Just try to clear a bit of space and commitments out for next week. Think about it as blocking your agenda for yourself, though you can also join and do it at your own pace a bit later if it doesn’t quite match your agenda.

Nothing needs to be perfect. If you think you’re not ready to give up something you don’t need to.

FAQ

Are there any circumstances when cleansing is not recommended?

Cleansing is not recommended for those who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, who have a weak or compromised immune system,  who have a very stressful and full schedule during this time, or during the time one is menstruating.

Can I make this vegan?

Yes, although ghee is an important staple of an Ayurveda cleanse you can replace it with sesame or coconut oil.

May I invite a close friend, student or family member?

Yes, you are welcome to invite someone within one degree of separation from this community. This person should be someone you have a positive relationship with, is interested on their own accord, and understands that the Ayurvedic concept of cleansing is in the context of care and rejuvenation, rather than a weight loss and depletion crash diet.

Can an Ayurveda cleanse help with hormonal imbalances?

This approach addresses the root causes of hormonal disruption through stress regulation, digestive support and lifestyle guidance. Many women find meaningful relief as well from perimenopause fatigue, mood swings and sleep disturbances.

Is this cleanse a replacement for medical treatment?

By combining Ayurvedic nutrition, yoga, meditation and lifestyle guidance, we can allow the body to restore its natural capacity for balance rather than introducing external medicine. However, we encourage you to continue working with your healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
